Unemployed man wins lottery

Jerome McInnis, 52, used to work at the Ford assembly plant in Hapeville but the plant closed and he had to choose the early retirement package. Mr. McInnis’ luck changed a few days ago when he purchased a Bah Humbucks lottery ticket and won one of the $225,000 top prizes.

“This came at a great time. It's just exciting to win like this,” McInnis said. He bought the ticket at a gas station on Fayetteville Road in College Park. “I paid for the gas, but I was so excited that I drove off and forgot to get my gas.”

A former employee of Blue Springs Keno is facing theft in an alleged scheme to manipulate results and reap financial benefits charges.

The Wymore resident, Jana Fletcher, 34, was charged Monday in Gage County Court according to Nebraska County laws and City Lottery Act.

According to investigators, Fletcher made more than $16,000 by manipulating a machine’s lever, making the last ball of a previous round to be caught by the device and making it the first ball to be drawn in the next game.

Winners of $208 million lotto jackpot come forward

After two months, the winners of the $208 million Powerball jackpot have come forward. The winners are a group of one hundred Sargento Cheese company workers that apparently used to buy several lotto tickets every week.

A Wisconsin Lottery press release informed that two workers and their attorney appeared before lottery officials and gave them the winning ticket. Officials explained that the State requires a court order to divide the prize and they expect to receive one in the next few weeks.
